Senior Portrait Styling Guide: Look and Feel Your Best

It’s back to school and already, it’s time to book your Senior Portraits in Sacramento. I had some parents of local seniors ask me recently, what even ARE senior portraits?

My answer is always, they are the opportunity to capture your high school senior in their most authentic moments. You get to have tangible evidence of your high school senior living out their wildest dreams. We can also do the classic senior portrait of a headshot but this custom photoshoot to celebrate your high school senior. We make the entire process very transparent and informative. You know what will be happening step by step. From booking, to your Fashion Consult, to how to prepare for your photo shoot, and even post shoot when you are picking your favorites and designing your custom book or how to design your custom grad cards for the big graduation day.

Some moms will ask me, “How long do Senior Portraits take?”

Depending on what photoshoot you choose and what hair and makeup (HMUA) package you decide on will determine the length of your actual photoshoot day. The photoshoot (including HMUA) can take anywhere from 4-8hrs. We generally have out photoshoots on weekdays centering around sunrise or sunset as these are the most gorgeous times of day to photograph!

There are other time commitments that are included in our session packages such as your Fashion Consult.

This is a 1-2 hour appointment where you come into our Professional photo studio in Sacramento to style your looks for your senior portraits from head to toe.
