Wes Anderson-Inspired Senior Photoshoot in Sacramento – Featuring Fia
What is all this fuss over Wes Anderson? Lacey M. Carroll Photography believes it’s because of the clear and detail aesthetic that every one of his movies have captured. There is a definite “style” to not just the way he writes and directs his movies but also how Wes Anderson captures the mood. There’s a graininess to the frame, a color pallet that is consistent throughout, and a touch of whimsy and absurd that brings levity to the every day world.
Lacey has similar point of views and her photography style feels just as specific and thought out as a Wes Anderson movie. So to give a nod to another strong artist, Lacey got inspired to create a photoshoot that was Wes Anderson Inspired. Living in Sacramento, we are lucky to have an array of neighborhoods and blocks around midtown and downtown Sacramento that have kitschy and mid-century modern style buildings. Lacey had this apartment building located on the grid in Sacramento in mind when she styled these two outfits for our Class of 2025 senior, Fía. Fía has been a part of the LMCP Team for three years and it was such a special session that we got to do with her before she heads off to LA for college! Mai Artistry was our HMUA for this photoshoot and I think she nailed the retro Wes Anderson aesthetic.
