How long is the Drive VS Flying?

The drive is 8-9 hours. Flying is an approx 1hour/20 min flight. You can fly into the Ontario,CA airport (about an hour and 20 minutes drive to Palm Springs) or Palm Springs airport, rent a car to drive around Palm Springs and to our photoshoot locations. I will be flying down early with my office manager, photoshoot assistant, and HMUA team. I will have all my equipment, and luggage. I strongly suggest finding a BFF that wants to book and carpooling together if possible! 

If we have outfits from your style closet are you bringing them?

No. You must arrange to pick up your items in Sept/early Oct BEFORE we leave. Since we are flying there we will not have enough room (or arms) to carry everyone's items. EVERYONE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO BRING THE CLOTHING TO AND FROM PALM SPRINGS!* Once you book, we will arrange pick and drop off times. LMCP Team members will have THREE outfits and non-team members will have TWO outfits. *Charges may apply if items are forgotten in Palm Springs.

Why are the time slots only for Friday 10/13?

The Friday time slot is the reserved time you will arrive for you hair and makeup FOR BOTH DAYS. For example, if you signed up for 9AM Friday 10/13 you will also be signed up for 9AM on Saturday 10/14. Each client will be with me in a group with other clients for 3-4 hours and get ample time to get gorgeous individual and group images. 

What will the location be like?

PLAN FOR SUN! AND COLD! Bring lots of WATER!!! 

The high desert has extreme temperatures, though generally mild in October it is best if you prepare for anything. We are in complete open sunlight! Be prepared for bright sun unless it’s an overcast day. I can only compare it to snow, the sand from the desert is light so sunscreen, sunglasses, and MORE SUNSCREEN! Be sure to bring water!

Can I book Hair & Makeup?

This trip we will have a team of hair and makeup artists join us! It will be your responsibility to pay your artists directly ($200 HMUA per day) on the day of the photoshoots.

Bring lipstick options for both days to retouch!

JOSHUA TREE: Friday will be neutral tones

PALM SPRINGS: Saturday will be neutrals or brights based on your outfits

You are responsible for coordinating your transportation and lodging for the trip. However I can assist as best I can.  Again I suggest teaming up and carpooling/traveling together if possible! Once our sessions are filled we will be sending more info about where to stay. ( I suggest booking ASAP) Instructions for the day of will be sent sooner to the session dates. 

I'm not sure what to wear the day of (before the shoot)?

Keep it simple! Bring Clothes you can easily change in and out of. BRING A WARM JACKET AND BLANKET! Bring nude undergarments AND booty shorts you will need for your dress/outfit.  

SHOES: The desert can be dusty and can be painful when you walk on it barefoot. I recommend bringing THREE pairs of shoes, SLIP ONS you can get messy, boots, and the shoes you're going to shoot in. You may be getting into the water. Afterward the shoes will be messed up so don't bring anything too fancy! The dusty sand will be very fine and can get everywhere! So always bring a spare pair of shoes and a couple trash bags to put the shoes into after visiting Joshua Tree.
