Natalie’s Senior Session in Sacramento
One of my most favorite kind of photo shoots to do in Sacramento are senior portraits. Being a part of such a special time in each families lives is something I take very seriously. Your senior year is the year you blossom into the young adult that begins to form your whole future. Having snapshots from this time in your life captures this transition from adolescence to young adulthood for generations to look back on. That’s why editorial senior photography is my main focus as a photography studio in Sacramento. I am available for senior pictures from near Davis CA to Tahoe CA. I have ample backdrops and sets at my photo studio in Sacramento but am always happy to take the road trip to the outskirts of the Sacramento region for some stunning outdoor shots for your Senior Session.
One recent session I have LOVED is with this kind and intelligent senior from class of 2025, Natalie. Natalie reached out asking if it was too late to take some pictures for her Senior year; she had just recently graduated and regretted not having a special session to take senior pictures with me. I, of course replied, ABSOLUTELY!
Natalie got our basic session which consists of 1-2 looks that I help you style based off your favorite outfits or sentimental pieces from your wardrobe. Don’t worry though, my LMC Style Closet is packed with tons of styles, looks, and sizes for everyone to try! When you book a senior session with me a special Fashion Consult is included in the price! This session, if possible, is about one month ahead of your photoshoot date and it’s where we choose and style your looks from head to toe. We pick out shoes, outfits, accessories, and jewelry so that on the day of your session all you need to do is show up. At the time of booking we also schedule, if needed, your hair and makeup team so that they are booked and ready to go on the date of your photoshoot. This session we had Heather Grabin and Mai Artistry team up to create this incredible hair and makeup! The rest is done ahead of time so that you can relax and focus on having the best experience!
We stuck around local spots near my photo studio in Sacramento along the Rancho Cordova border. Natalie is from the area so staying close by was a special nod to the streets that she walked home from school on and that she learned to drive around. I finally got to shoot at a spot off Folsom Blvd that I have been dying to do a photoshoot at for ages! Fun fact about Folsom Blvd…it’s the original Pony Express! That’s right, smack dab in the middle of Sacramento was the information super highway before trains and the USPS!

1. What made you choose Lacey M Carroll as your photographer for your Session?
I chose Lacey because of the comfortable environment I heard so many people rave about. I first heard about her through a friend and was immediately interested!
2. What did you envision your photoshoot would be like?
If I am being completely honest, I had no idea what to expect going into the shoot, but I knew it would be fun. When I got there, it was so much more than I had imagined in all the best, surprising ways. I had the best time!
3. Which look turned out to be your favorite?
My favorite look is our Gossip Girl/Sabrina Carpenter concept we went for. I love the photo when I'm walking with my jacket on, the flower bush behind me. That was also one of the funnest pics to shoot. (One of our favorites too!)
4. What was your favorite moment of the photoshoot?
My favorite moment of the shoot was the warm-up/studio shots. When we were in there, mind you, this was my first time in a professional studio. I was laughing, getting comfortable, and feeling my absolute best during this time.
5. Was there anything you'd do differently if you got to do the photoshoot again?
I wouldn't do anything different; it was what I dreamed of and more.
6. Anything else you'd like to be included in the blog post about you and your experience?
This was such an unforgettable experience, and Lacey and Team are the absolute best. I am so blessed and grateful for the opportunity to shoot with Lacey. They made me so comfortable and beautiful, all while having so much fun!
