Dani’s Women’s Empowerment Session in Sacramento
I have been entrusted with being on the forefront of Senior Portraits for 15 years now and there has yet to be a season where I get parent after parent say, “This experience was incredible, I wish I could so something like this.” And I’m here to tell you, YOU CAN. Hearing, “I never liked images of me before.” and “I’m not photogenic.” brought me to the realization that there NEEDS to be a photoshoot offered to women for the sole purpose of celebrating their authentic selves where they are at in the moment. You are enough, and you are worthy of incredible snapshots of you in every decade of your incredible life! As women mature into adulthood’s 30s, 50s, 70s and on, there seems to be this narrative that we disappear. That women become uninterested in themselves and are needed in the shadows. Absolutely NOT. Not in the year of our lord 2025 should any woman feel less than or like they do not matter. That is the reason behind this photoshoot package I now have to offer you, because I’m here for you.
So let’s meet Dani, the captivating and fashion forward young professional you see in these images. She’s incredible and in so many more ways than you can imagine! Dani is a Sacramento local who has recently become a certified social worker. That is no easy task. Dani went through years of college and masters degree work to be eligible to take the certification test. She passed with a near perfect score this year and will be able to begin her work in the new year!
For the time being she’s spending her days being a new dog mom to her rescue mix, Django, enjoying midtown Sacramento living, and performing improv regularly at the beloved Sacramento Comedy Spot in the Lavender District of Midtown Sacramento. Dani’s reason for booking a recent Empowerment mini-session flash sale was because she wanted to do something for herself to celebrate her accomplishments over the last few years. She graduated through the pandemic, rescued and lost beloved family pets, started a new hobby and skill in the improv community, and now she’s finally certified in Social work.
If you can’t tell from these images, Dani’s vibe is off the charts. She’s always got the cutest outfits on styled to perfection and elegance. She doesn’t just wear an outfit, she styles it to embody her feelings and confidence. It was easy to capture her confident and kind personality during our session because she truly is a ray of sunshine and bubbles. You can’t help but see her bubbly and charismatic personality beaming off the screen!
During a classic Women’s Empowerment Session we offer a special Fashion Consult before your photoshoot date where we can style from head to toe using items you feel empowered in from your closet AND from anything we have in our LMC Style Closet. Other perks of our Empowerment photoshoots are: 3 LOOKS throughout the photoshoot, FULL PERSONAL STYLING (as mentioned), CREATIVE DIRECTION (from you AND me to create your perfect shoot!), AND ON-LOCATION PRO HAIR & MAKEUP (Paid separately to HMUA).
This shoot though was all Dani and her incredible style! I sent Dani some inspiration shots and our “Prepping for your photoshoot” blog to help her get some ideas. Even if we had had a classic session vs our shorter mini-session we would have ended up using a lot of her clothes because she has her style down! It’s very clear she knows who she is, what she likes, and what she wants.
We started and ended our Empowerment Session at my Sacramento Photo Studio. I have a great secret location not far from us that I was able to have Dani come to so that we could showcase the various options and backdrop styles an interested client may want for their own special photoshoot session with me.
Don’t take my word for it, here’s what Dani had to say about her session:
1. What made you choose Lacey M Carroll as your photographer for your Empowerment Session?
I know Lacey personally and she is genuinely one of the best humans I know. She practices and preaches love. She’s wildly talented.
2. What did you envision your photoshoot would be like?
I envisioned my photoshoot with Lacey would be full of good vibes and trusted that she would make me look and feel amazing- she NAILED IT.
3. Which look turned out to be your favorite?
My editorial looks with my coat and heels. I didn’t expect simplicity to make me feel so powerful, but Lacey is magic.
4. What was your favorite moment of the photoshoot?
My favorite moments were Lacey cheering me on throughout the shoot. She’s the best cheerleader.
5. Was there anything you'd do differently if you got to do the photoshoot again?
I would book even MORE time. Lacey is wonderful, truly.
I find myself falling in love again and again with my photography business and with myself when I book an empowerment photoshoot. I get to see the confidence and power solidify in you and that, in turn, emboldens me to keep pushing and sharing my knowledge and skills with my clients and with my photography mentees. Booking your own empowerment session in Sacramento is easy and the first step is reaching out to me and my office manager here. We are looking forward to your message!
